The Solutions Engineer delivers cybersecurity product demos, technical consultations, customer trials, workshops, and professional training. They partner with sales and customer success teams to achieve technical wins, build relationships with technical stakeholders, and become a subject matter expert on Hack The Box offerings. The role requires customer-facing cybersecurity experience, SaaS knowledge, strong communication, and organizational skills. Preferred backgrounds include penetration testing, red teaming, DFIR, technical consulting, channel partnerships, relevant certifications, and Hack The Box platform experience.

Build and validate live-fire cyber ranges, threat-hunting labs, Sherlocks, CTF challenges, and Pro Labs scenarios. Research vulnerabilities, exploit techniques, adversary tactics, and threat actors while applying expertise in detection engineering, digital forensics, malware analysis, operating systems, infrastructure, and defensive security tools. Collaborate across engineering, infrastructure, product, and marketing teams, and contribute to technical reviews and cybersecurity education content.

Designs, develops, tests, reviews, and maintains enterprise, cloud, hybrid, and cybersecurity training content, including Machines, Pro Labs, and Cloud Labs. Builds scalable environments using Active Directory, cloud services, networking, enterprise applications, and security controls. Researches emerging attack techniques and technologies, automates infrastructure deployment and workflows, collaborates with infrastructure and content teams, and supports documentation, validation, and quality assurance.

Design, deploy, and operate Hack The Box’s global, multi-site data center network. Responsibilities include BGP, EVPN-VXLAN, JunOS and Juniper platform management, network automation, monitoring and observability, capacity planning, site expansions, troubleshooting, documentation, and on-call incident response. The role collaborates with systems, platform, SRE, security, and product engineering teams supporting VMware, Kubernetes, and Ceph environments.

Build, operate, and improve multi-region compute, virtualization, storage, networking, and Kubernetes platforms. Administer VMware vSphere, NSX, and Ceph; develop Ansible and Terraform infrastructure automation; monitor systems with Prometheus and Grafana; support hardware lifecycle operations and incident response. The role also contributes to migrating from VMware to an open-source virtualization platform, documents procedures, collaborates with network engineering, and participates in on-call support.

Own and evolve HTB’s internal platform stack, including identity and access management, Google Workspace, endpoint management, SaaS administration, security tooling, compliance automation, secrets management, and an AI/LLM gateway. Build integrations and workflow automations, maintain documentation and runbooks, support secure scaling, and participate in on-call for critical identity, email, and SaaS incidents.
