The Project Controls Manager will lead teams in providing project controls services, ensuring effective performance management and delivering projects on time and within budget while fostering a collaborative environment.

The Contract Manager will oversee contract management for major projects, ensure compliance, manage risks, and support procurement strategies and client relationships.

Manage project controls for energy and infrastructure commissions, coordinating cost control, scheduling, risk management, reporting, and change control. The role requires anticipating client challenges, driving improvements, maintaining quality and performance standards, managing resources, mentoring team members, and collaborating with stakeholders across the business. Projects may cover nuclear, renewables, transmission and distribution, oil and gas, low-carbon energy, utilities, rail, roads, and aviation.

Advise clients on sponsoring and setting up major infrastructure projects, programmes, and portfolios. Responsibilities include defining strategic direction, managing stakeholders, developing business cases, securing funding, establishing governance, overseeing risk and change, ensuring compliance, improving efficiency, managing client relationships, supporting business development and bids, and leading multidisciplinary teams and internal advisory initiatives.

Lead delivery of building certification projects and bids, provide expert guidance on BREEAM, WELL and sustainability standards, set decarbonisation targets, analyse data, produce technical reports, mentor junior staff, oversee QA and present findings to clients.

Lead cost control for energy infrastructure projects: implement cost control systems, maintain PMB, map estimates to WBS/CBS, manage forecasts, accruals, change control, interrogate supply‑chain cost data, and provide stakeholder reporting and leadership to meet time, cost, and quality targets.

Provide strategic procurement and contract advice across large public and private projects, manage end-to-end procurement and post-contract contract management (particularly NEC4), lead supplier engagement and tendering, support business development, develop supply chain intelligence and commercial models, and coach/manage procurement teams while progressing professional CIPS/MCIPS accreditation.

Develop and implement ISO31000-aligned risk management frameworks across programmes and projects. Perform quantitative risk analysis, use risk tools and dashboards, integrate risk with project controls (cost, schedule, change), and produce reports to support decision-making on Defence, Rail, Infrastructure and Digital/AI commissions.

Lead Project Management Commissions for complex projects, ensuring client objectives are met. Responsibilities include project governance, risk management, and stakeholder communication.

Lead end-to-end delivery of major, complex capital programmes (£250m+), setting strategy and governance, managing multidisciplinary teams, cost/schedule/risk controls, commercial performance, stakeholder engagement, and benefits realisation.
