As a Senior Database Consultant at Pythian, you will coordinate, implement, and administer database solutions while optimizing client infrastructure and processes. Responsibilities include managing backups, disaster recovery, documentation, and client communications, and providing mentorship to team members.

The Database Consultant will manage CockroachDB infrastructure, ensuring reliability and performance, mentoring teams, and automating processes for operational efficiency while maintaining data security and quality.

Operate and administer cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud, AWS), automate tasks with Python/Scala, manage containers (Kubernetes/Docker), design/maintain IaC, troubleshoot systems and networks, perform root-cause analysis, improve resiliency, document processes, advise clients, and participate in on-call rotations.
