Build and own AWS infrastructure for a regulated payments platform. Responsibilities include infrastructure provisioning with IaC, environment management, CI/CD pipelines, reliability and observability, database and data infrastructure, cost control, patching, disaster recovery, and incident response. The role partners with engineering, data, security, and outsourced teams while establishing platform engineering standards and growing the function.

Own end-to-end design, development, deployment, and support of CreatePay’s AWS-based PayFac and acquiring platform. Design resilient distributed, event-driven, serverless systems; build APIs and integrations with payment, KYC/KYB, fraud, and banking providers; develop data models and pipelines; and ensure secure, PCI-aware, observable infrastructure. Act as a technical partner to the CTO and de facto product owner, independently defining scope, validating third-party work, and applying AI and automation to improve delivery.
