Manage a portfolio of complex insurance claims for Camden Council, supporting internal and external customers. Provide insurance and risk management advice, promote risk-informed decisions, investigate claims, negotiate settlements, prepare reports, and maintain stakeholder relationships. The role also supports insurance service development, leads projects when requested, and deputises for senior insurance colleagues and the Insurance Manager.

Manage Business Rates and Business Improvement District Levy accounts, ensuring effective billing, collection, and recovery. Respond to customer correspondence and telephone queries, develop recovery actions, and represent the Council at Magistrates Court and High Court hearings. The role requires analytical and communication skills, knowledge of IT applications, stakeholder management, compliance with data protection and financial standards, and initiative to improve processes and systems.

Lead the feasibility and detailed design of highway, traffic, active travel, cycle corridor, junction and public realm schemes. Produce and review drawings, geometric and drainage designs, cost estimates, bills of quantities, audits and contract documents. Manage consultants, budgets and programmes; coordinate stakeholders, developers and public authorities; support consultations and negotiations; ensure legislative and technical compliance; and mentor junior staff.

Designs and delivers highway, traffic, parking, active travel, drainage, and public realm projects. Produces AutoCAD drawings, technical documentation, specifications, cost estimates, quantities, and contract documents. Conducts site visits, inspections, and surveys while incorporating safety, accessibility, sustainability, and maintenance considerations. Collaborates with engineers, project managers, consultants, contractors, developers, public bodies, residents, and businesses throughout feasibility, detailed design, consultation, and construction.
