Provides administrative support for daily production operations, including maintaining materials, equipment, workforce, inventory, and KPI records. Coordinates departments, meetings, shift schedules, and staff movements; updates ERP systems, tracers, and planners; supports quality, health and safety, audits, risk assessments, cost tracking, and compliance documentation. Assists with resolving production issues, contingency planning, and reporting operational findings.

Lead the technical delivery of multiple engineering projects from concept through completion. Responsibilities include defining scopes, planning resources, estimating, managing risks, coordinating subcontractors, producing control and electrical system drawings, supporting site fault-finding, reporting progress, and driving continuous improvement. The role combines hands-on engineering across facilities, plant, equipment, cranes, docks, and operational assets with project leadership and stakeholder management.

Supports major shipbuilding and defence programmes across project planning, controls, cost management, risk tracking, reporting, and data analysis. Maintains schedules, action logs, budgets, dashboards, performance reports, and risk registers while identifying trends and variances. The role includes rotations across Business Management Office disciplines and training in SAP, Earned Value Management, project controls, and reporting tools.

Supports production engineering for shipbuilding programs by interpreting drawings and 3D models, creating CAD layouts and technical documents, developing build strategies and construction sequences, investigating production issues, collecting manufacturing data, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams. The role provides structured training in CAD, shipyard production processes, technical interpretation, and manufacturing methods, with opportunities to progress into professional engineering roles.

Manage procurement of materials, equipment, components, and services for shipbuilding projects. Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, control costs, mitigate supply chain risks, process purchase orders, track deliveries, and monitor inventory. Collaborate with project, engineering, and production teams to forecast needs, ensure compliance, review supplier performance, and identify savings. The role may also involve mentoring Buyers and supporting procurement process improvements.

Lead and mature a multi-site Project Controls function delivering integrated cost, schedule, risk, EVMS and change control. Establish governance, produce executive reporting, manage forecasts/EACs, embed risk management and drive digital improvement across shipyards and delivery partners.

Lead and manage the shipyard Electrical area, supporting the Electrical Manager on resource, budget, schedule and quality control. Provide technical support for electrical design, fabrication and installation in naval/marine projects, ensure HSE and QMS compliance, coordinate subcontractors, and drive continuous improvement and training.
