CATAGEN’s mission is to clean and decarbonise the air. We are a pioneering green emissions testing facility based in Belfast providing unrivalled metrics to optimise catalyst development and reduce harmful tailpipe emissions. Our expertise in the mobility sector and global emissions standards has led us to develop ClimaHtech technologies including Green Hydrogen. Our Core Business provides GREEN emissions testing to global automotive in the development of new vehicles and more recently testing for industrial catalysts such as SOFCs (solid oxide fuel cells). A spin out from Queen’s University Belfast - our patented Energy Efficient OMEGA technology replaces vehicle catalyst testing without consuming fossil fuels. CATAGEN's expertise in the mobility sector combined with its deep domain knowledge of global emissions regulatory standards and patented technology has led the company to develop further technologies to clean and decarbonise the air. In 2022/23, it received 7 funding awards from the UK Department of Energy Security and Net Zero to develop a green hydrogen generator (not electrolysis), a biohydrogen generator, an e-fuel generator, hydrogen compression and carbon capture technologies.

Nuada

Nuada is a vertically integrated pure-play carbon capture company that is poised to decarbonise heavy industries through its next generation point-source capture technology. We have combined advanced solid adsorbents (Metal Organic Frameworks or MOFs) with proven vacuum swing technology to vacuum CO2 out of industrial emissions through a “heatless” and solvent-free process. The use of pressure instead of heat represents a step-change innovation that slashes the energy and costs barriers for mass adoption of carbon capture in industry. Nuada builds energy-efficient CO2 filtration machines that enable industrial emitters in hard-to-abate sectors to achieve their Net Zero targets whilst minimising the impact on their bottom line.
