  • Collaborate with architecture and wider Payments team to align on and implement architectural changes while continuing to deliver new customer features.
  • Contribute to technical design and architecture decisions while supporting others in the team.
  • Work closely with product, platform and engineering partners to deliver end to end solutions.

  • Contribute to engineering practices across performance, security and reliability.
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and delivery approaches.

Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?

  • 7+ years of experience in mobile engineering, with strong expertise in iOS using Swift and a willingness to build capability in Android.
  • Strong collaboration skill, with working across teams to align on shared goals, dependences and technical direction.
  • Experience working in complex environment where multiple initiatives are delivered in parallel.
  • Proven experience designing and building scalable, maintainable mobile solutions using modern architecture patterns such as MVVM or MVP.
  • Strong capability across testing, debugging and quality engineering practices, including automation tools such as XCTest and XCUITest.
  • Experience with CI CD and DevOps practices, including tools such as Fastlane, Jenkins or cloud-based delivery platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complex challenges and deliver practical, customer focused outcomes.
  • Able to balance ideal engineering outcomes with delivery constraints and business outcomes.

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
