We are currently recruiting a Senior Project Manager. This role is a hybrid role and will require the successful candidate to be based onsite in Northern Ireland.
As an experienced and seasoned Senior Project Manager, you’ll join the PMO team and work with us, the wider Codec team, and our customers closely. This role is a hybrid, meaning the location of the work will be a combination of remote working, onsite with the client and working from the Codec office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Role Purpose
    The Senior Project Manager is accountable for the successful delivery of large, complex or multiple concurrent projects. They provide delivery leadership across significant customer engagements, ensuring delivery commitments, commercial objectives and customer outcomes are achieved while coaching and supporting Project Managers.
    Delivery Accountability 
    • Hold end-to-end accountability for the successful delivery of large, complex or multiple concurrent projects. 
    • Ensure delivery commitments, customer outcomes and commercial objectives are consistently achieved. 
    • Lead recovery activities for challenged projects and drive corrective actions where required. 
    • Take ownership of delivery performance across assigned engagements. 
  • Delivery Leadership 
    • Manage programmes or groups of interrelated projects where required. 
    • Identify and manage cross-project dependencies and delivery impacts. 
    • Direct project managers and delivery teams in the successful execution of delivery plans. 
    • Act as a senior escalation point for significant delivery issues and risks. 
  • Client and Stakeholder Management 
    • Build trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders. 
    • Ensure a clear understanding of customer objectives, business priorities and expected outcomes. 
    • Support strategic customer discussions relating to delivery performance and future planning. 
    • Represent Codec professionally in all client interactions. 
  • Commercial and Contractual Accountability 
    • Maintain oversight of project budgets, forecasts and delivery profitability. 
    • Validate project estimates and forecasts. 
    • Ensure delivery remains aligned with contractual commitments. 
    • Manage complex change requests and commercial implications. 
  • Governance and Assurance 
    • Ensure consistent application of governance standards across projects. 
    • Maintain oversight of RAID management, planning, forecasting and reporting activities. 
    • Drive compliance with PMO controls, standards and quality gates. 
    • Ensure accurate and transparent reporting of delivery performance. 
  • People Leadership 
    • Mentor and coach Project Managers. 
    • Share best practice and support capability development within the delivery community. 
    • Foster a culture of accountability, ownership and continuous improvement. 
    • Support Portfolio Managers in the leadership of strategic delivery programmes. 


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role as PM. 
  • Project management qualification – Prince2 Practitioner/PMP. 
  • Experience working in large enterprise organisations, delivering business applications projects, preferably within IT industry. 
  • Experience with ERP projects (Microsoft Business Central) and CRM/Workflow projects (Microsoft Dynamics) is strongly desired but is not essential. 
  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of projects to agreed scope, budget and schedule. 
  • Management of cross-functional project teams. 
  • Proficient in MS Project 
  • Experience operating in an agile, waterfall and Hybrid project management style. 
  • Experience using Projector, or other Professional Services automation tools, is preferred but not essential.
