What we are looking for

An Operations Coordinator on a 12 month fixed term contract to support managing and organising tasks and activities to help scale the company.

About us

At Seismic we have 2 key goals: to be the best place you have ever worked, and to help 10 million people join the shift by 2030.

Along with creating impact through everything we do, connecting and building relationships is a core priority for us. That goes for our relationships with our amazing clients and with our fantastic team of changemakers, made up of a strong mix of B Corp, Net Zero, Reporting and Sustainability Comms experts, throughout the UK and Europe.

We love working with our clients. From SMEs to multinational corporations, we are committed to enabling them to prosper by helping them become ever more impactful forces for good.

All that’s missing is you!

The role and its responsibilities

The exact role definition will be dependent on the desire, capability and experiences of the right person. Key responsibilities are likely to include:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working directly with the COO to implement a best in class operations team.

  • Assist with general office management duties.

  • Provide administration support to the Leadership Team including coordinating travel arrangements, booking flights, hotels etc.

  • Provide support to the finance team with tasks such as invoicing, expense reports, and budget tracking as required.

  • Provide operational support for our cyber security compliance platform, NAQ.

  • Liaise with relevant internal teams and external providers to ensure smooth IT operations.

  • Managing new employees’ IT equipment requests.

  • Provide administrative support to the recruitment team, including scheduling interviews.

  • Support business improvement projects.

  • Observing, reviewing and analysing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas where improvements could be made.

  • Handle ad hoc operational tasks as required.

About you

You believe that humanity and businesses need to make a seismic shift in the right direction and want to apply your consulting and analytical capabilities to help make that happen. At the same time you want to work in a friendly, collaborative and empathetic team who are delivering impactful projects for high-profile clients.

To be successful in this role you would need the following attributes:

  • At least 6 months experience of working in an administrative or operational role.

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • A proactive and solution-oriented approach.

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure.

  • Demonstrated enthusiasm and a positive can-do attitude.

You are action oriented, have a keen eye for detail and enjoy juggling multiple projects and priorities and enjoy just the right amount of time pressure to help keep productive and focused. You are a ‘people person’ with a knack for building relationships with a diverse group of people.

You are more excited by the opportunities of working for a young, fast growing, ever evolving, purpose-driven business than for a large corporate.

In your first 3 months you will:

  • Be introduced to your guide and mentor

  • Go through our onboarding programme with training across all our sustainability services

  • Join our weekly Personal Growth sessions

  • Begin working on your first client projects after initially shadowing the team

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
