  • Perform monthly account reconciliations, investigate variances, and collaborate with stakeholders across the business to resolve discrepancies.

  • Support the month-end close process by reviewing general ledger activity, analysing account balances, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.

  • Prepare schedules and documentation to support internal reporting, external audits, and statutory reporting requirements.

  • Partner with internal and external auditors, banking partners, and cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial information.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

  • 2-5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or general ledger accounting roles.

  • Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to analyse and work with large data sets.

  • Experience working with ERP or automated accounting systems.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple functions.

  • Self-motivated learner who can manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated commitment to teamwork, integrity, and accountability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with SAP Fiori or SAP financial systems.

  • CPA qualification or progress toward a professional accounting designation.

  • Experience supporting audit activities, regulatory reporting, or public company accounting environments.

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
