This role plays a critical part in Wolfspeed's mission to scale world-class silicon carbide technology safely, reliably, and sustainably. In your role as a Financial Analyst, you will serve as the key finance business partner to leaders across Global Procurement & Planning, Quality, and Advanced Manufacturing. You will be responsible for driving budgeting and forecasting activities, supporting R&D spend analysis, providing financial insight to senior leadership, and helping guide strategic decision-making through accurate financial planning and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with leaders across Procurement & Planning, Quality, and Advanced Manufacturing to understand spending trends and operational activities impacting financial performance.
Support analysis and management of R&D spending within Operations and Advanced Manufacturing, including contributing to new reporting structures and processes following organizational changes.
Lead and support monthly close activities, monthly outlooks, quarterly forecasts, annual operating plans, and long-range financial planning cycles.
Prepare ad hoc financial analyses to identify spending trends, measure performance against targets, and support cost reduction initiatives.
Deliver actionable financial insights and recommendations that enable informed business decisions and improved financial outcomes.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
Experience in financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modelling.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyse large data sets and build financial models.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to translate complex financial data into meaningful business insights for non-financial stakeholders.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across multiple functions.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
CPA, CMA, MBA, or equivalent professional finance qualification.
Experience working with SAP ERP systems.
Previous experience within the semiconductor, manufacturing, or technology sectors.
Experience supporting R&D or operational finance activities in a global organization.
