Flexibility Options

Stepful takes a deliberate, role-based approach to flexible work, balancing flexibility with the value we place on in-person collaboration and connection.

For many roles, we require employees to be based in the New York City area and to work from our SoHo office Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to work from home on Mondays and Fridays. We’ve found that regular in-person time strengthens collaboration, learning, and team culture, especially as we continue to grow.

At the same time, we recognize that flexibility matters. All employees are eligible for Work From Anywhere (WFA) days, with 15 WFA days per year (up to three work weeks total). These days can be used to work remotely from locations outside an employee’s primary work location, offering flexibility for travel, family needs, or a change of scenery.

Some roles are designed to be fully remote and can be based outside the NYC area. We’re intentional and transparent about this during the hiring process, so candidates know upfront whether a role is NYC-based or remote.
