We are seeking an experienced UK Payroll Workday Senior Consultant to join our Consulting Team and serve as a subject matter expert for payroll operations within Workday. This role will support a global effort to strengthen OSV's UK consulting capabilities, drive new revenue opportunities, and position OSV as the premier expert support partner for UK Workday payroll.

This is a pivotal role that combines deep UK payroll expertise with Workday technical capabilities to deliver high-value consulting services, support integration projects, and mentor our UK payroll support team. Whilst a primary UK focus exists, this role will be part of a strategic initiative to build world-class regional consulting excellence that complements our global service delivery model.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver post-production support for complex UK/US/CA payroll scenarios and regulatory changes.
  • Act as a primary customer point of contact for cases and projects.
  • Coordinate, troubleshoot, and manage customer Workday tenant system issues to resolution.
  • Ensure integrations meet UK regulatory requirements and customer business needs.
  • Analyse business requirements, offer solutions, and guide best practices based on business, functional, and technical knowledge.
  • Stay abreast of Workday system releases and enhancements that affect payroll and taxes, and communicate those to customers with recommendations for the best application for their environment.
  • Partner with the OSV Integration team to provide domain expertise for UKI integration requirements.
  • Manage time and caseload using a case management system.
  • Responsible for adhering to the current BPaaS Support methodology while influencing best practices, process improvements and procedures.
  • Track your time daily and maintain target utilisation rates. Record all billable and non-billable hours accurately, submit detailed timesheets per company policy, and regularly communicate with management about your capacity and workload to ensure proper client invoicing and project cost management.
  • Provide peer review to other consultants for production moves
  • Mentor and develop UK payroll-certified support specialists, expanding their Workday technical expertise.
  • Build institutional UK payroll expertise across the global Consulting Team.

  • Able to communicate complex concepts around specific aspects of scope and deliverables.
  • Be actively present in Workday Community, participating in discussions and contributing solutions.
  • Be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; appropriately gather and analyse information, and apply creative talents to problem-solving.
  • Be able to quickly and accurately research issues and propose solutions or courses of action.
  • Must have clear written and oral communication skills.

Qualifications

Required

  • Must have an active Workday Payroll certification
  • 5-7 years of Workday Payroll experience, including an understanding of core payroll processing and configuration concepts, such as earnings and deductions, including pre-tax deductions and limits
  • Functional experience with the configuration and support of local taxes and social security.
  • Skilled in time management and multitasking, effectively handling multiple cases and customers simultaneously
  • Intermediate/advanced level Excel skills

Preferred

  • Workday Reporting Certification and/or experience preferred
