MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE BUSINESS: 

As a Workday Data Consultant at Kainos, you’ll be a key part of the Pay Transparency capability, helping to implement and configure enterprise-scale Workday solutions for our global customer base. You will specialise in understanding, preparing and transforming customer organisational and employee data to support the implementation of the Pay Transparency Analyser tool within Workday customer tenants. 

You will build trusted relationships with customers to understand their data needs and current-state data landscape, leading the delivery of practical, fit-for-purpose and commercially viable data solutions. You’ll work closely with functional and technical leads, and wider stakeholders, to keep the implementation moving and you’ll lead the data workstream covering data discovery, mapping, transformation, validation and load/reconciliation activities. 

You’ll also have the support and guidance of an Engagement Manager and Managing Consultant. As a knowledgeable expert in data consulting, you’ll also fill a leading role in aiding education and growth in the area of Workday Data Consulting within the Kainos Workday practice. 
 
What we are looking for: 

• Workday HCM or Financials experience (certification desirable) or experience with other similar HCM/ERP systems 

• Workday Prism certification and/or practical expertise is desirable  

• Integrations knowledge is highly desirable (e.g., Workday integrations and/or APIs) 

• Strong knowledge and experience in data analysis, manipulation, reporting and formatting 
• Excellent knowledge of Excel (including lookups, pivots and data quality techniques) 
• Experience in data transformation and data loading activities (e.g., mapping, cleansing, validation, reconciliation) 
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies in large data sets 
• Broad business and technology understanding and a good awareness of industry trends 
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and make sensible decisions under pressure taking a balanced view of Customer demands and Kainos commercials 
• Commercial understanding of utilisation within a services organisation and the importance of these targets 
• Able to rotate through various Workday delivery services, specifically Consulting and Application Management Services 
• Able, if required, to travel to customer sites in the same region (minimal out of region travel may also be required) 

• Some understanding and appreciation for different data formatting characteristics across jurisdictions and countries, to suit our global customer base 
• Awareness of pay transparency / pay equity concepts and the importance of accurate reporting and auditability 
• Experience with Workday data tools and data movement approaches (e.g., EIB, Workday Studio, reporting extracts) and/or common ETL tooling
