🧑🏻‍💻 About the role

First things first: you want to know what you’re actually applying for. It’s impossible to capture every nuance of a role – especially at a rapidly growing company like Mews – but if we had to distil it down to a job description (which we do because this is a job description), it would be this:

We’re looking for a Senior Web Developer to take ownership of Mews.com, a critical engine for our business growth. Sitting in the go-to-market organization, this is a hands-on, high-impact role that will transform our web presence into a modern, performant, and conversion-optimized platform worthy of a category leader.

You’ll operate across the full-stack, building and optimizing Mews.com while collaborating closely with marketers, designers, and analytics stakeholders. You’ll own the platform architecture and implementation across front- and back- end systems serving as the go-to engineering partner within the marketing function.

This role is ideal for a self-starting, senior-level developer who still loves writing clean, maintainable code, but also thinks in terms of scalability, security, performance, and business outcomes. You’ll thrive here if you want the autonomy to build, test, and ship quickly, while shaping a world-class user experience.

✅ Your mission, should you choose to accept it:
  • Own the end-to-end development of Mews.com ensuring speed, reliability, and technical excellence across all touchpoints.

  • Build scalable, maintainable, and high-performing front-end applications and manage backend logic where needed.

  • Collaborate with marketers, designers, and content creators to rapidly build and optimize pages, components, and user journeys.

  • Configure CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.) and set up automated testing, monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana) and logging.

  • Implement and maintain CMS integrations, marketing automation tools, web analytics, localization frameworks, and SEO foundations.

  • Drive technical decisions related to website architecture, performance, A/B testing infrastructure, accessibility, and data privacy compliance.

  • Proactively identify performance bottlenecks, UX issues, or inefficiencies in the website codebase, and implement high-leverage improvements.

  • Serve as a subject-matter expert and advisor on web technologies within the marketing team, bringing best practices from engineering into the commercial org.

  • Stay on top of emerging web technologies and modern frontend/backend development practice

🤝  You'll be a great fit if you bring a few of the below with you:
  • 5+ years of professional experience in web development, with a strong portfolio of high-performance websites you’ve built or maintained.

  • Deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, and component-based UI development.

  • Comfortable working in headless CMS environments (e.g., Contentful, Sanity) and integrating with APIs and third-party marketing tools (HubSpot)

  • Understanding of SEO, accessibility, and web performance principles, with a track record of shipping optimized, mobile-friendly experiences.

  • Some backend experience with Node.js, server-side rendering, deployment workflows, and cloud infrastructure

  • Ability to manage your own roadmap, prioritize work across multiple stakeholders, and ship production-quality code independently.

  • Ability to architect and manage data storage solutions and relational databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or other.

  • Strong attention to detail and an instinct for good UX/UI, able to translate design specs into pixel-perfect, performant web experiences.

  • Bonus: experience working in B2B SaaS, particularly with marketing and growth teams.
