Job Description: 

Global Chief Supply Chain Officer (GCSCO) is an exclusive, invitation-only program for COOs & CSCOs at large, global organizations. GCSCO supports the mission-critical priorities of these senior leaders through a combination of direct peer interaction, c-level only events, shared community insights (members learning from each other’s experiences) and thought leadership from the Gartner’s extensive analyst community. 

 

Program Directors work closely with the global leaders in the GCSCO community on their top priorities, helping to bring together peer connections, insights from community-specific events, and the wealth of capability across Gartner’s broad portfolio of insights, all in support of members’ goals.  Program Directors are responsible for engaging and retaining GCSCO members, and for supporting growth initiatives to develop and strengthen the GCSCO community. 

 

Program Directors are responsible for forging and maintaining strong personal and commercial relationships with their members, and requires a high level of collaboration with sales and events colleagues. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Build “Trust Based Value Added” relationships with senior executives of Global 500 companies 

  • Work closely with Gartner sales to maintain renewals and drive growth. 

  • The Program Director is the single point of service delivery for approximately 15-20 member relationships and supports account planning activity in combination with Account Executives. 

  • GCSCO event planning and execution with members on an individual basis as well as collectively, including identifying themes, recruiting speakers, creating agendas, and enhancing the event experience. 

  • Facilitating community interaction, through 1on1 connections between peers within the community, capturing shared actions and opportunities and channelling outcomes to member teams. 

  • Ongoing service delivery program to Global 500 companies focused on operations and supply chain leadership, COOs, CSCOs, EVPs Ops and Supply. 

  • Regular consultations with your members to drive their priorities to ensure they are leveraging the GCSCO community on their key priorities, as well as delivering community insights and tailored Gartner thought leadership. 

  • Deliver workshops to leader’s peers and teams leveraging peer and research insights to create compelling interactions. 

  • Drive member engagement and value interactions via all resources including events, 1on1 connections, community content briefings and analyst interactions. 

 

Requirements: 

  • 15+ years of work experience, ideally from a consultancy or advisory background in strategy or supply chain strategy 

  • Experience of working with c-level customers and stakeholders in Global 500 companies 

  • Demonstrated capability to present and facilitate meetings for a c-level audience. 

  • Experience dealing with corporate and functional strategy development and execution. 

  • Experience of working within or leading large scale change and transformation. 

  • Critical thinking and problem solving with demonstrated skills needed to assess a client’s unique situation and provide actionable outcome-based business advice & insight 

  • Ability to digest, analyse and present back detailed research to synthesise insights for members. 

  • Sales or account management experience would be an advantage, but not essential. 

 

Success Criteria 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Presentation skills, as well as strong persuasion and influencing skills. 

  • Great commercial acumen to work effectively with sales organisation to drive retention and growth. 

  • Ability to effectively sell and market membership to c-level leaders. 

  • Strong business acumen, and knowledge of job responsibilities and challenges of senior executives in major corporations. 

  • A deep understanding of how leaders build strategies that can be executed at scale. 

  • Ability to build and maintain knowledge of an ever-changing supply chain profession.
