The Product Platform engineering team at HubSpot builds and maintains the core infrastructure and foundational services that power HubSpot's suite of products. This team is dedicated to creating scalable and reliable systems that enhance integration and performance across all product offerings. Key expectations for a Technical Lead:
- Act as a player-coach, leading a high-performing team while also contributing to production code.
- Mentor and support frontend engineers, fostering innovation and inclusivity.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Data Science teams to define and drive strategic goals.
- Ensure product reliability by proactively managing on-call responsibilities.
- Shape product direction and advocate for a user-first approach to development.
- Encourage professional growth, helping team members take on more complex challenges.
- Facilitate cross-team collaboration to improve product features and usability.
What we look for in candidates:
- Technical expertise in TypeScript, React, or similar frontend technologies.
- A strong focus on user experience and the ability to empathize with user challenges.
- Ability to solve complex technical problems while aligning with business goals.
- Experience or interest in data analysis (e.g., Amplitude, Looker, Excel).
- Enthusiasm for integrating AI-driven efficiencies into the business.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- A hands-on leadership approach, leading by example and fostering team growth.
