Main purpose of the role & responsibilities in the business:
As a Technical Business Analyst you will be a vital part of the team responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of custom applications for Workday’s customers.
You will join an exciting micro-business with a “start-up” mentality – flexible, efficient, with lots of opportunity for learning and growth. You will run multiple small projects and have the opportunity to work with an incredible range of global clients.
You will be responsible for ensuring that your team has a grasp on the business needs and will facilitate the analysis and design of cost-effective solutions. Whilst becoming a key contributor to guiding, developing and educating others within the Workday practice on Workday Extend.
You’ll be responsible for articulating problems and proposed solutions in ways understood by all stakeholders and members of your team – both technical and business. You’ll work with others to build features and technical components of a product or service. You’ll identify any risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies to help ensure a successful delivery.
You’ll facilitate and participate in workshops and discussions, ultimately aiming to understand business problems and achieve a joint understanding of user needs.
You'll also:
Confidently analyse data to make recommendations and inform decisions.
Establish strong working relationships with a range of senior stakeholders to gain an understanding of business needs and to support the delivery of business value.
Advocate Agile practices, you'll inspire agile behaviours and promote the concept of a minimum viable product.
Document user stories and acceptance criteria in a concise and development-ready manner.
Prepare UX wire frames to help customers understand the proposed business solution.
Minimum (essential) requirements:
A minimum of 3 years commercial experience in a BA role.
Business Analyst experience working with Workday HCM.
Strong understanding of HR domain and processes.
Project management skills and experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to think outside of the box.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Desirable:
Experience working with Workday environment.
Workday HCM, Financials or Payroll Certification.
