How You Will Contribute:

We’re excited to be offering a summer internship position on our supply chain sustainability team.

Prepare to be part of a small team committed to shaping a greener future where your contributions matter and your skills evolve. 

As we execute our plan to achieve our approved Science Based Targets (SBTs) by 2030, you will participate in innovative and inspiring projects that focus on measuring and reducing our carbon footprint, conducting data analysis, and improving processes across the entire Ciena Supply Chain.

This internship promises a comprehensive learning experience across Supply Chain and sustainability initiatives.

The Must Haves:

  • Currently enrolled in graduate program, preferably Computer Information Systems / Business & IT / Environmental Sciences / Supply Chain courses
  • Exceptional oral and written capabilities.
  • Good command of the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Self-starter, proven ability to work unsupervised to meet project deliverables.
  • Inquisitive and prepared to research through documentation.
  • Attention to detail is essential.

Assets:

  • Basic knowledge of GHG Protocol and an interest in sustainability
  • Understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability principles
  • Basic Supply Chain knowledge
  • Expertise in data analysis and reporting
  • Project management skills
