Description

We’re Civica and we make software that helps deliver critical services for citizens all around the world. From local to state government, to education, to health and care, over 5,000 public bodies across the globe use our software to help provide critical services to over 100 million citizens.

Our aspiration is to be a GovTech champion everywhere we work around the globe, supporting the needs of citizens and those that serve them every day. Building on 21 years of continuous growth and success, we're at a pivotal point on our journey to realise that aspiration.

Why you will love this opportunity as Summer Auditor at Civica

You’ll love working as a Summer Auditor at Civica because the role combines travel, independence, and hands-on work in the education sector. You’ll be out on the road visiting schools across the UK, which means no two days look the same. Instead of being tied to a desk, you’ll get the chance to explore different locations, meet a wide range of people, and experience how schools operate behind the scenes. It’s a great fit for someone who enjoys variety and doesn’t mind travel as part of their routine. The role itself is practical and rewarding. Using the Civica Education System, you’ll recreate each school’s site digitally, ensuring that rooms, layouts, and assets are accurately reflected. You’ll be responsible for logging and auditing items within classrooms and other spaces, giving you a clear sense of ownership over your work and its accuracy. There’s a satisfying, methodical element to it, perfect for someone who enjoys detail-oriented tasks and seeing a project come together.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

· Travel to schools across the UK between July and September to carry out on-site audits

· Use the Civica Education System to accurately replicate each school’s site digitally

· Record and add school assets into the system, ensuring all data is up to date

· Audit and verify assets located within classrooms and other areas of the school

· Deliver basic training to school staff, supporting them in using the system confidently

Requirements:

· Full UK driving licence and access to a car, with willingness to travel to school sites nationwide throughout the summer

· Strong attention to detail to accurately record, audit, and verify school assets within the system

· Basic IT skills, with confidence using digital platforms to replicate school sites and manage asset data

· Good communication skills to effectively interact with school staff and deliver clear, basic system training

·  Ability to work independently while managing time and responsibilities across multiple school visits

As a company, we're passionate about what we do and the citizens we serve. What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
