Job Decription:
Strategy & Transformation Product Manager, Annuities & Insurancewill drive strategic and continuous improvement initiatives for the Annuity and Insurance business across JPM Wealth Management. Responsibilities include analyzing business and operational processes to identify and recommend innovation and efficiencies, as well as designing and managing implantation of end-to-end user experience, product, and platform improvements for the annuity and insurance business. This will entail partnering with business leadership, key business stakeholders, and our third-party U.S.-based insurance carriers and vendors to define, develop, and manage successful implementation of strategic business plans that evolve the life and annuity product and platform experience for our clients and advisors.
The candidate should have proven ability to think strategically and thrive in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, encourage a strong collaborative environment with both internal and external partners, and drive projects end-to-end to completion. The ability to work across line of business and across business functions (including sales, operations, technology, marketing, legal, risk, compliance) is critical to the role. The candidate will be familiar with the financial services industry, have a strong appetite to take on and learn from challenges, and a passion for collaboration to creatively design solutions to complex problems.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate a multi-year transformation strategy with a sharp focus on client and advisor experience to achieve our business goals for growth in the Annuity and Insurance line of business.
  • Oversee change management initiatives and development of product and platform, partnering with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee creation of user journeys and business requirements. Partner with product and various design colleagues through the discovery process and guide teams to tactical execution of business requirements.
  • Set program management discipline to ensure: (a) tracking workstreams and initiatives, (b) create, (c) risks are addressed and status measured, and (e) deliveries are successful.
  • Develop and manage initiatives while balancing stakeholder, risk, and business impacts
  • Leverage data to understand user behavior, shape user experience, and drive business goals for growth and efficiency.
  • Lead change-management discussions with key stakeholders from each line of business (e.g., CWM, JPMS, PB) to recommend and implement program and process enhancement.


Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

  • 10 years of experience in financial services serving in Project Management, Program Management, or Product Management roles. Subject matter expertise across banking, investment, and/or insurance and annuities solutions.
  • Structured and strategic thinker.
  • Effective communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management and strategic planning experience.
  • Ability to prioritize with superior organizational skills .
  • High attention to detail with keen focus on client and end-user experience.
  • Strong initiative, energy and confidence completing projects independently.
