Altura is open to hiring either a Staff or Senior Frontend Engineer for this role.
Our team will assess and level the engineer appropriately through the interview process. This engineer will elevate best practices, indirectly coach and mentor other engineers, drive architectural evolution, and raise holistic engineering standards at Altura. The Role:
As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Altura, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of our AI-powered bid management platform. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing our frontend architecture while working closely with product, design, and backend teams to create intuitive and high-performing web applications. Your expertise in modern frontend technologies will drive the evolution of our platform, ensuring seamless usability and scalability as we grow.
You will also mentor, coach, and help evaluate the performance of the frontend team, fostering their growth and ensuring high engineering standards. Your leadership will guide the team in adopting best practices, improving collaboration, and continuously enhancing technical excellence.

You Will:
Frontend Architecture & Development: Lead the design and development of Altura’s frontend architecture, ensuring performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Component & UI Development: Build reusable and accessible UI components that enhance the user experience.
Execution & Delivery: Oversee the successful execution of engineering projects using the Shape Up methodology, ensuring teams deliver high-quality, impactful solutions on time.
Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver cohesive and high-quality user experiences.
Performance Optimization: Continuously optimize frontend performance, ensuring fast load times and smooth interactions.
Code Quality & Best Practices: Drive best practices in frontend development, including code reviews, testing strategies, and documentation.
Mentorship & Leadership: Guide and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and technical excellence.
Frontend Roadmap & Innovation: Define and implement the frontend roadmap, incorporating best practices and new technical innovations to drive continuous improvement and scalability.
You Have:
Frontend Expertise: 5+ years of experience in frontend development with a strong understanding of modern JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks like Vue.js (Nuxt.js is a plus).
UI/UX Focus: Experience in building visually appealing, high-performance, and accessible web applications.
Scalability & Performance: Strong knowledge of frontend performance optimization techniques and best practices.
Scalability & Maintainability: Strong knowledge of designing and developing frontend architectures that are scalable, maintainable, and adaptable to evolving business needs.Customer-Centricity: Deep commitment to delivering value for customers and ensuring technical solutions align with their needs.
Product Insights: Familiarity with product lifecycle management, from prototyping to industrialization.

We developed an end-to-end platform that enables bid teams to manage and win complex bids, both in the public and private sectors. We use artificial intelligence to connect bid teams to company resources, automate the bidding process and assist proactively with tasks and insights.
