About the Role
We’re looking for a Front-End Developer to join our Amsterdam-based Engineering team. You'll help build and improve our core products, like the Newzoo Platform, and contribute to some exciting new initiatives still in early stages of exploration. You’ll be part of a small, Agile squad where design, product, and engineering work closely together.
You’ll write clean, modular JavaScript, build reusable components, and care about the details that make an interface feel just right. A good sense of componentization and abstraction is key — and if you enjoy implementing designs down to the pixel, even better.
Your Responsibilities
- Build high-quality user interfaces using React and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
- Work closely with designers and product managers to bring ideas to life
- Create reusable, maintainable components and front-end architecture
- Contribute to the development of both mature products and new areas we’re actively exploring
- Improve performance, reliability, and code quality across the board
- Supported and collaborating with other engineers through code reviews and pair programming
Your Profile
- 5+ years of experience building front-end applications in React
- Strong grasp of modern JavaScript, component-based architecture, and abstraction patterns
- A sharp eye for design implementation and polish
- Experience working in a team setting, ideally within Agile product teams
- You’re based in the EU and have the right to work here
- You’re comfortable communicating in English — both written and spoken — and able to actively contribute to team discussions and decision-making
- Comfortable working in a hybrid setup — this role requires at least two days a week in our Amsterdam office
