About the Role

Join Abnormal Security, a fast-growing cybersecurity company, as a People Operations & Employee Relations Partner for the EMEA region. In this dynamic role, you will support employees and managers by addressing employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regional legislation, and enhancing the overall employee experience. You’ll work closely with People Business Partners, Employment Counsel, and senior leaders to manage HR-related matters and serve as a key resource for employees, providing timely guidance on complex employment issues across multiple time zones.

What you will do Employee Relations & Investigations

  • Resolve Employee Relations Issues: Address employee relations matters with compassion and efficiency, ensuring alignment with company policies and regional laws.
  • Conduct Fair Investigations: Lead thorough and unbiased investigations into employee concerns, upholding legal standards and company integrity.
  • Ensure Policy Adherence: Apply a deep understanding of Abnormal Security’s policies and culture consistently across the EMEA region.

Partnership & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Leaders: Partner with People Business Partners, Employment Counsel, and senior leaders to navigate complex HR challenges and ensure compliance with local employment laws.
  • Cross-functional Alignment: Work with internal teams to align HR practices with organizational objectives and enhance the employee experience.
  • Travel: The ability to occasionally travel within the EMEA region may be required. 

Employee & Manager Support

  • Serve as a Trusted Resource: Be the go-to HR resource for employees, answering their questions and offering support in their local time zones.
  • Guide Managers: Provide managers with expert advice on performance management, accommodations, and disciplinary actions, ensuring decisions are aligned with company policies and legal requirements.

Enhance Employee Experience

  • Optimize HR Processes: Improve the employee experience by leveraging technology, HRIS systems, and self-service tools to simplify HR processes.
  • Drive Process Improvement: Identify and implement continuous improvements to HR processes that enhance employee satisfaction and engagement.

Policy Development & Compliance

  • Develop and Refine Policies: Contribute to the creation and refinement of HR policies that reflect Abnormal Security’s code of conduct and talent philosophy.
  • Manage Compliance & Risk: Ensure HR compliance with all legal, regulatory, and audit requirements across the EMEA region, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.

Must Haves 

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred, with at least 8 years of corporate experience with a focus on people operations and employee relations. 
  • Regional Expertise: Strong knowledge of EMEA employment laws and regulations, with specific experience in countries like the UK, Netherlands and France.
  • HR Knowledge: Strong understanding of HR functions, processes, and best practices, with the ability to apply them in an agile, employee-focused, and transparent environment.
  • Relationship Building: Excellent relationship-building skills to establish trust with business partners and leaders.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly articulate strategy and influence stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Proven track record of resolving complex and unique employment-related issues with innovative solutions.
  • HR Technology: Proficient in HRIS systems and ticketing systems for efficient HR process management.
