Our Software Engineer placement will give you hands-on professional experience across a world class technology stack. You will get access to continual growth and learning opportunities that will help you build your skills.

You will help in the development of our highly complex platform, which utilises an array of the most modern technologies. 


You will make a real difference - the code you commit reaches millions of people as soon as you release it. Throughout your internship, you will gain exposure to all of our team, and gain hands-on experience in software development, software quality assurance, automation, and deployment. 


You will work alongside our team of experienced Engineers, Software Development Engineers in Test and Automation/Deployment Engineers. You will learn from our experienced engineers to apply new approaches to problem-solving which help to build elegant solutions for complex technical challenges.

We work hard to keep an open, collaborative atmosphere where no questions, suggestions or ideas are off limits.


Our development teams use a range of technologies so you could gain exposure to some or all of the following: Java, Rust, Scala, JavaScript, Python, PySpark, C++, SQL, Cassandra, Druid, Hadoop, Kafka, and more.  


Essential Skills:

  • Studying in a STEM-related degree
  • Desire to excel in programming
  • Self-driven with the desire and ability to continue learning
  • Experience with functional or OO programming as well as SQL
  • Passionate and curious about new technologies
  • Understanding of software methodologies

Desirable Skills:

  • Developing personal projects, or contributing to open source projects - pet projects in GitHub/bitbucket are cool to see.
