As Social Value Manager, you’ll lead our social value approach—helping us meet UK Government requirements and deliver meaningful benefits for communities, customers, and colleagues. What you'll do
  • Lead our social value approach to develop, evolve and coordinate social value activities across the full contract lifecycle.  Align to UK Government procurement, including Procurement Act 2023, Social Value MAC themes and Kainos’ ESG goals. 
  • Drive winning bids through the creation of compelling social value content for proposals and presentations, ensuring we maximise scoring opportunities.
  • Shape delivery success by supporting project teams to co-ordinate and embed social value commitments into delivery plans and ensure measurable outcomes.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with charities, community groups, and other relevant partners to deliver impactful initiatives as part of contract delivery.
  • Measure and report impact by defining metrics, tracking progress, and sharing results with clients and stakeholders.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring trends, frameworks, client needs and competitor activity to keep Kainos at the forefront.
  • Innovate and improve through the identification of new opportunities to enhance our social value proposition.
  • Define and manage social value budgets effectively, ensuring cost-efficient delivery.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to align social value initiatives.
About you
  • Proven experience in social value, CSR, or ESG roles, ideally in a public sector or professional services context.
  • Strong understanding of UK Social Value Model and public procurement requirements.
  • Relationship management skills – create, maximise and maintain Social Value related partnerships
  • Skilled communicator—able to craft persuasive content and present to all audiences. .
  • Collaborative and influential—comfortable working across teams and engaging senior stakeholders.
  • Organised and proactive—able to manage multiple priorities and drive initiatives independently.
  • Passionate about making a difference through social value.
  • Desirable: Experience in bid writing, project management, or social value measurement frameworks (e.g., TOMs).
