Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated and experienced SHEQ Advisor to join our Safety, Health, Environment & Quality team.
In this role, you will be responsible for driving a proactive safety, health, environmental, and quality culture across site warehouse and distribution operations, with a key focus on fresh food/food industry compliance, UK/EU regulatory standards, and ISO management frameworks (9001, 14001, 45001).
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
Conduct daily site audits, risk assessments, and Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) reviews across warehouse, dock, and yard areas, while performing root-cause investigations and implementing CAPA plans for all incidents.
Collaborate with operational teams, the site SHEQ Committee, external regulatory inspectors, and client audit teams to deliver safety inductions, contractor clearances, and regular toolbox talks.
Ensure compliance with food industry safety standards, UK/EU regulations, HSE requirements, RIDDOR reporting, COSHH storage, chemical spill readiness, energy reduction initiatives, and ISO management frameworks.
What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
Commercial experience in a dedicated SHEQ role within a high-volume logistics, fulfillment, or distribution warehouse environment, with practical experience in the food/fresh food industry.
Strong knowledge of MHE operations, racking systems, manual handling regulations, COSHH assessments, and ISO 9001/14001/45001 internal auditing.
Proven ability in behavioral safety leadership, conflict resolution, cross-functional communication, and continuous improvement.
NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent IOSH Managing Safely certification).
