Core Responsibilities
- Take a leading role in shaping the direction, architecture, and culture of a brand-new, high-impact team.
- You will help determine the most suitable tech stack. We expect it to include some of the following elements: Infrastructure as Code (IaC), C#/.NET, microservices, integrations/API development, and AWS/Azure.
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions that support the manufacturing of tech elements.
- Engage with other product teams to drive best practices, enable ownership, and co-create new solutions.
- Define and advocate for modern software architecture patterns, ensuring alignment with the LEGO Groups engineering principles.
- Drive technical discussions and architectural decisions, setting the foundation for long-term success.
- Champion security, performance, and data privacy by adhering to the LEGO Groups principles.
- Act as a mentor and coach for fellow engineers, fostering a learning culture and technical excellence.
Play your part in our team succeeding
This segment of the Digital Technology organization is known as the Product Engineering Technology department.
It provides solutions and technology for the engineering sectors of the LEGO Group, supporting the process from designing LEGO® elements to manufacturing.
Initially, we are seeking three talented software engineers who possess the right mindset and capabilities to support our new and super exciting manufacturing capabilities.
The brand-new team that we are focusing on will be established to support the Project Eleven agenda, specifically enabling the production of Tech elements.
Our goal is to integrate the various systems involved to facilitate effective manufacturing. We will work on themes such as traceability, EMS line performance data and PELM.
You will collaborate closely with other product teams to refine these concepts for application on the shop floor within larger contexts, all while ensuring that our setups are maintainable and secure.
Your role will involve determining how we get a robust architecture that empowers our tech element business and digital partners to excel, allowing them to concentrate on their core tasks without concerns about the underlying technology.
Do you have what it takes?
- Proven experience in software architecture with a strong focus on designing scalable and maintainable systems.
- A passion for driving technical direction, discussing architecture, and identifying the best solutions for complex challenges.
- Expertise in building and optimizing IT solutions that align with product vision and enhance daily operations.
- Strong cloud infrastructure knowledge, using infrastructure as code to ensure reliability and scalability.
- Experience with secure, loosely coupled architectures and API-led integration, following Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles.
- A mindset that embraces change, experimentation, and continuous learning in an agile environment.
- Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills, working effectively across teams and functions.
Bonus Qualifications
- Mentorship & leadership experience, guiding and coaching engineers within teams and organizational communities.
- Strong cultural competence with a proven ability to collaborate effectively in global teams.
- Hands-on experience with agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and continuous delivery environments.
