Role Description:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Systems Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will do Proof-of-Concepts, design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions that support our business needs, with a focus on ubuntu core, firmware, device drivers, hardware interfaces, and real-time communication technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient applications while following best practices in software development.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain software applications, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and implement new features.
  • Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following best coding practices.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues as they arise.
  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Ensure software security, data protection, and compliance with company standards.

Required Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

  • Fundamentals First: Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals, allowing you to adapt to new tools and environments rapidly.
  • Low-level: experience in understanding and debugging firmware device drivers and USB
  • Deep Analytical Thinker: Exceptional debugging and root-cause analysis skills, with a passion for diagnosing complex software behaviors.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn new technologies.

Education & Experience:

  • Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field 
  • 7+ years of experience in software development

Compensation:

  • Salary Range: £ 57,000 - 70,000 base salary per year
  • Bonus Plan
