Job Description

Purpose of the role

Reporting directly to the Global Head of Reward & Performance, this role is focused on optimising performance through all aspects of reward and recognition.  Partnering with senior stakeholders the postholder ensures competitive, equitable, and performance-driven reward frameworks that align with the organisation’s business strategy and regulatory requirements.

The role includes oversight of all compensation, benefits, equity plans, governance, and reward analytics together with responsibility for communicating and designing effective system workflow and reporting.

Main Responsibilities

Reward Leadership

  • Partner with the Head of Reward to define and execute the global total reward strategy.
  • Lead on reward programmes that support talent retention, motivation, and compliance across multiple regions.
  • Systems expert in designing workflow and reporting
  • Key lead for HR, managers and colleagues communication and responsible for ensuring sufficient subject matter expertise within HR
  • Provide expert guidance to business leaders, HR business partners and governance committees on reward matters.

Compensation Management

  • Lead annual compensation review cycles including salary planning, bonus and long-term incentive plan allocations, optimising process experience and colleague understanding.
  • Support the design and implementation of commission and recognition schemes and ensure effective communication and buy in.
  • Benchmark roles using market data to ensure competitiveness and internal equity, including reference to job levelling/evaluation methodology, ensuring good quality data is accessible and up to date for key stakeholders.
  • Support the preparation of materials for Remuneration Committee meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with global regulatory frameworks, including MIFID II and local legislation

Colleague Engagement, Benefits & Wellbeing

  • Lead the annual colleague engagement survey including communications, results analysis and follow up action plans. Prepare analysis for Group Executive Committee and be the subject matter expert on underlying root cause analysis and proposed actions plans.  Ensure training for subject matter expertise in HR and key stakeholders.
  • Work with local HR teams to assess and optimise global benefits offerings, ensuring alignment with market practice and employee needs within cost budget, ensure benefits information is easy to access and up to date for colleagues.
  • Support global wellbeing initiatives and harmonisation of benefit plans where appropriate

Analytics & Reporting

  • Lead reward analytics and insights to inform strategic decision-making, including attrition, headcount and recruitment activity.
  • Manage gender pay reporting, pay equity analysis, and other statutory disclosures.
  • Enhance automation and dashboarding of reward metrics.

Team & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of reward professionals.
  • Act as deputy to the Head of Reward in leadership forums and represent the function as needed.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience in reward management within a global financial services environment.
  • Expertise in compensation planning, benchmarking methodologies, and job evaluation.
  • Proven ability to influence at a senior level
  • Experience of HR systems and how to link to key HR processes through effective UX (User Experience)/UI(User Interface) approach
  • Experience working across multiple jurisdictions (e.g., EMEA, APAC, Americas).
  • Proficiency with market data providers including WTW, AON, KFHG and KPMG
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CIPD, WorldatWork) are an advantage.
