As a Senior Power Module Engineer, you will be responsible for the full development life cycle from design, prototype development, test plans, component level test and system test validation of new solid-state components and systems. The role requires an understanding of the protection legacy that Littelfuse has established and the ability to collaborate across the business to draw upon that strength. Join the team at Littelfuse that is developing new, self-contained smart components and systems that deliver electrical protection and control functionality to electrical systems. Develop and qualify semiconductor packages and processes for power modules in support of new product development that includes integrating power devices with other system components to enable intelligent solid-state control and protection systems. About the Position:
Evaluate technical feasibility and select suitable suppliers for materials and processes.
Collaborate with peers in engaging with contract manufacturers or in house manufacturing to implement power module design, prepare design documentation, and evaluate product processes to assure components meet performance and reliability targets.
Support occasional travel as required to evaluate suppliers and support production ramp up.
Develop and execute power module and system qualification and reliability test plans.
Provide regular project updates as part of the overall project planning and execution.
About you:
Master's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with equivalent experience.
7+ years of hands-on experience in the development and qualification of isolated power module products, packages, and processes for backend assembly.
Evaluate technical feasibility and select suitable suppliers for materials and production assembly processes.
Knowledge of manufacturing process for power modules, including die attach, wire bonding, transfer molding, and encapsulation with a focus on thermal performance and module reliability.
Demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit, willingness to experiment and be able to manage ambiguity.
Experience simulating thermal and mechanical behavior of power modules and systems using FEM software.
