Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Marketing Communications Executive to join our advised Marketing Team based in Manchester.

As a Senior Marketing Communications Executive, you will be responsible for developing targeted and effective marketing campaigns to drive lead generation and engagement among our financial adviser community.

Utilising a multi-channel approach through email, social media, web, and events to maximise our marketing efforts. Additionally, you will work closely with sales stakeholders to align marketing strategies and goals, as well as analyse and report on marketing performance to ensure a strong return on investment.

You will have advanced knowledge of using marketing automation tools, understanding how they work, how they can be configured to build segments and workflows, as well as how they can integrate with other systems, creating opportunities for efficiencies, data management, reporting and automation across the platform.

What does the job involve?

Plan and execute targeted marketing campaigns:

  • Create and execute marketing campaigns to drive lead generation and engagement.
  • Utilise email, social media, web, and event marketing channels to reach the target audience effectively.
  • Ensure campaigns are tailored to address the specific needs of financial advisers.
  • Ensure campaigns align with defined key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives.
  • Optimise campaigns to maximise outcomes and ROI.

Leverage account-based marketing techniques:

  • Design and execute account-based marketing campaigns to increase leads, account value, and customer loyalty.
  • Identify key accounts and develop personalised marketing strategies to nurture and retain these accounts.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to align marketing efforts with account management goals.

Educate Sales stakeholders:

  • Share marketing strategy and vision with sales stakeholders to create a shared understanding and collaboration.
  • Provide training and resources to the sales team to enable them to effectively communicate marketing messages to customers.

Optimise and develop digital channels and conversion rate:

  • Work with the Web Analyst to conduct regular audits of our websites.
  • Identify opportunities for increasing organic traffic and conversions.
  • Champion website optimisation activities to enhance user experience and drive desired actions.

Test, learn, report and repeat:

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Communications Manager to develop a testing roadmap for key conversion points, including forms and marketing landing pages.
  • Implement A/B testing and other optimisation techniques to improve conversion rates.
  • Monitor and analyse test results to inform future marketing strategies.

Paid Digital Marketing activities:

  • Leverage promoted content across social media and other channels.
  • Monitor and report on the distribution of paid content to ensure it reaches the intended audience.
  • Meet defined KPIs for content campaigns.

Data-driven decisions:

  • Utilise analytic tools, including HubSpot reporting dashboards and campaigns, to track, review, and report on on-going KPIs.
  • Identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement.
  • Make data-driven recommendations to optimise marketing strategies and achieve high ROI.
  • Work with Marketing Communications Manager to compile and develop monthly management information pack to drive team activity.

You'll have:

  • 5+ years’ experience in Marketing communications field.
  • A degree-level qualification in Marketing or equivalent.
  • Proficient experience of working with HubSpot or similar marketing automation platform.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing B2B marketing campaigns, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of various marketing channels, including email, social media, web, and events.
  • Familiarity with account-based marketing strategies and practices.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Result-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving defined KPIs and objectives.
