Hello! We're Teya.
Teya is a payment and software service provider, headquartered in London serving small, local businesses across Europe. Founded in 2019, we build easy to use, integrated tools that enable our members to accept payments and boost business performance.
At Teya we believe small, local businesses are the lifeblood of our communities.
We’re here because we don’t believe there’s a level playing field that gives small businesses with a fighting chance against the giants of the high street.
We’re here because we see banks and legacy service providers making things harder for them. We don’t think the best technology or the best service should be reserved for those with the biggest headquarters.
We’re here to fight for a future where small, local businesses can thrive, and to commit the same dedication they offer all of us.
Become a part of our story.
We’re looking for exceptional talent to join our mission. We offer a chance to create impact in a high-energy and connected culture, while benefiting from continuous learning opportunities, a supportive community which is proud to serve our mission, and comprehensive benefits.
Your Mission
At Teya, we believe that every person owns their development. Our role in the People team is to provide the structure, tools, and transparency to make that possible — and to make it easy for Teyans to understand what’s available and where to take initiative.
As the Senior Learning & Development Manager, you’ll lead our approach across the full development lifecycle: onboarding, learning, talent identification, leadership development, and succession planning. Your goal is to build the infrastructure and routines that enable growth at scale, while reinforcing performance and business impact.
This is a strategic, cross-functional role focused on clarity, quality, and practical enablement — especially across high-volume and critical roles.
Responsibilities
Development Strategy & Ownership
Define and embed Teya’s development strategy, with clear principles around ownership, enablement, and business impact
Lead the articulation of the “development pyramid” — outlining what development looks like and what’s expected at each career level
Ensure development aligns with Teya’s performance framework and long-term talent needs
Learning & Development
Define learning pathways and quality standards for development across Teya
Own core learning infrastructure (e.g. LMS, content governance) and support the business to deliver role-specific training aligned to shared standards
Curate global content for topics like onboarding, leadership, and core values, while enabling business teams to lead functional learning
Talent Identification & Management
Partner with People Partners and leaders to connect development to performance, progression, and internal mobility
Leadership Development
Design and deliver targeted programmes for leaders and key talents, in partnership with the CPO and Performance teams
Equip leaders with tools and methods to coach, develop, and lead their teams effectively
Clarity & Communication
Build internal resources that make development accessible, self-driven, and transparent
Clearly define what the People team provides — and what it doesn’t — to ensure expectations are aligned across Teya
