This role will partner closely with internal stakeholders to ensure efficient vendor management, cost optimization, and compliance with company policies.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of indirect procurement, negotiation strategies, P2P process reengineering and outstanding influencing skills. Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sourcing: Lead the strategic sourcing process for corporate functions (including but not limited to Marketing, Sales, Finance, Human Resources, travel and IT) by procuring products and services. This includes preparing and managing RFPs and other sourcing events.
- Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities for cost savings and cost avoidance through effective negotiation strategies, volume consolidation, and vendor performance management.
- Stakeholder Management: Partner with Marketing, Sales, HR, Finance, and IT teams to understand business needs and translate them into effective sourcing strategies.
- Vendor & Contract Management:
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and service-level agreements.
- Ensure contracts are compliant with internal policies and legal requirements.
- Track supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Spend Analysis & Optimization: Analyze category spend, identify savings opportunities, and implement cost-control initiatives.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to developing procurement policies, tools, and templates to streamline operations.
- Procurement Operations: Manage the end-to-end procurement process - from supplier selection, RFPs, and negotiation to purchase order management and invoice reconciliation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Finance on budget alignment and payment processes, and with Legal on contract review.
- Technology Support: Assist in the procurement of software, SaaS subscriptions, and related services, ensuring alignment with enterprise technology and InfoSec standards.
- Influence vendor selection through stakeholder partnerships, market intelligence, benchmarks, supplier road-mapping, contract terms and company's long-term strategy.
- Leadership and Mentoring: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior sourcing team members, fostering their professional development and contributing to the overall success of the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, IT Management, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience or comparable expertise in sourcing, procurement, or vendor management.
- Proven track record of successful contract negotiation, vendor management, and cost optimization in a complex, multi-vendor environment. Must be able to lead complex negotiations with large vendors.
- Experience in developing procurement best practices and implementing procure-to-pay (P2P) systems such as Coupa, Ariba, or other similar platforms.
- Exceptional influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build consensus and drive alignment across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of negotiating key legal and commercial terms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, analyze trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
- Strong proficiency in English language (written and verbal) is required. Experience working with stakeholders from different cultures, countries and languages is a plus.
- Willingness to learn and to teach. Commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
