Mō te tūranga | About the Role
Join our External Reporting team to deliver statutory and regulatory reporting for Westpac NZ Group. Partnering with Finance, Treasury, Legal, and Risk, you'll ensure accurate and timely reports, maintain financial controls, and support senior decision-making.
Responsibilities include preparing Disclosure Statements, financial statements, treasury programme reports, and regulatory returns, as well as providing analysis and commentary.
This collaborative team offers exposure to senior leadership and opportunities to build expertise in external reporting within a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation and review of external reporting outputs and financial statements
Delivering Disclosure Statements and supporting Board and Executive reporting
Partnering with stakeholders to understand financial movements and resolve issues
Supporting external audits and managing auditor queries
Contributing to regulatory reporting including RBNZ and Stats NZ returns
Driving process improvements across reporting and controls
Supporting wider Finance initiatives and mentoring junior team members
Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?
CA qualification or equivalent
Experience in external reporting within audit, financial services or a listed environment
Strong technical accounting and analytical capability
High attention to detail with ability to manage competing deadlines
Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to influence
Experience with reporting tools or process improvement is an advantage
