Main Purpose

The Senior Financial Analyst will join the FP&A Team under the Strategy department and play a pivotal role in driving growth, enhancing profitability, and supporting business transformation. As an individual contributor that operates highly independently with minimal supervision, you will take full ownership of building, enhancing, evolving and running the commercial finance partnership with the UK Revenue department and respective FP&A activities and processes.

This is an in-office role, five days per week, with the option to work from home on Thursdays.

Responsibilities & Duties

Partnership with the UK Revenue department: 

  • Continuously transform the FP&A partnership model to deliver world-class commercial decision support.
  • Build rapport and be the trusted partner for UK Revenue stakeholders across different levels, including UK Country Manager, Revenue Directors, Business Development Directors, Account Directors and others.
  • Align company objectives, financial strategy, and sales tactics to support growth and drive profitability.
  • Own and continuously refine revenue and gross profit forecasting, ensuring clear linkages between pricing, volume, mix, and cost lever.
  • Drive stakeholder discussions to identify opportunities and implement initiatives that improve revenue outcomes.
  • Provide data-driven insights, financial models, and analysis to influence pricing, commercial terms, client acquisition, renewals, expansion, risk management, sales productivity, and more.

Commercial Finance influence and leading global approach standardisation:

  • Support deal structuring and tender processes for new client acquisitions and existing client renewals.
  • Build the commercial models for the new client acquisition deals for different pricing scenarios, evaluate the margin impact, recommend the commercial structures that align with profitability goals and present these models to the Revenue team and Senior Leadership Team.
  • Develop and maintain insightful reporting and performance tracking for key performance metrics.
  • Actively identify issues and lead cross-functional projects to resolve them
  • Collaborate closely with Accounting and Finance Operations to ensure robust support for the Revenue function.

FP&A activities and processes:

  • Own the end-to-end processes for monthly revenue forecasting and annual planning for.
  • Lead timely completion of the Global revenue forecasting and budgeting processes, including stakeholders sign-off and submissions. 
  • Improve forecast and budget accuracy by integrating in-depth commercial insights into financial planning.
  • Partner with cost centers to drive optimisation of revenue related spendings.
  • Build and deliver financial models, presentations, and analysis for senior stakeholders, including the Senior Leadership Team.
  • In charge of the continuous improvement and development of systems, processes and governance framework at Global revenue level to fit the business needs and drive accuracy and efficiency
  • Create, maintain and enhance routine and new reports, models, and processes related to revenue and variable costs.
  • Reconcile financial and sales data to ensure data integrity and enable better decision-making.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial support and insights for Board and senior leadership meetings.
  • Continuously refine processes and deliverables to ensure they are impactful, efficient, and value-driven.

Others:

  • Lead assigned ad-hoc projects and strategic initiatives under the Commercial Finance and FP&A areas.
  • Serve as a key contributor to cross-functional programs and transformation efforts.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in FP&A or commercial finance, including 3+ years independently supporting revenue or sales teams in high-growth environments.
  • Proven success in building strong, value-adding partnerships with commercial teams; understands what 'great' looks like.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience working with senior leaders.
  • Excellent change management skills and able to build things from scratch
  • Advanced analytical skills; adept at creating complex financial models and working with large datasets.
  • Advanced skills in Google Sheets, Excel, and presentation slides.
  • High attention to detail, with a knack for translating data into actionable insights.
  • Critical thinking mindset with the ability to challenge assumptions and validate data.
  • Structured problem solver; able to simplify complexity and integrate data from diverse sources.

Preferred Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
  • Early career exposure in Big Four accounting firms, investment banks or consultancy firms.
  • Experience in tech, marketplace, or staffing industries.
