Job Tile: Senior Business Development Manager – Strategic Accounts, Assurance UKI

Location: UK home-base, with requirements to travel to client’s site

Package: Competitive base salary + OTE + company car

Are you a strategic sales professional who thrives on securing major enterprise deals and building executive-level relationships? We're looking for an experienced Senior Business Development Manager – Strategic Accounts to drive growth for BSI’s Assurance Services across the UK & Ireland by winning high-value opportunities, leading complex tenders and developing long-term partnerships with leading organisations, including ones that are in the FTSE 100!

You will be resilient and have a hunter mindset, operating with proactive outreach and tracking down leads to drive direct acquisition by tailoring effective assurance solutions for large corporates. As a UK homebased position, we entrust you to drive business development and sales opportunities across these prospective strategic clients.

Key responsibilities & accountabilities

  • Win and grow strategic enterprise and public sector accounts
  • Lead large-scale bids, tenders, frameworks and multi-country opportunities
  • Build trusted relationships with C-suite stakeholders and key decision-makers
  • Own the sales lifecycle, from opportunity qualification through to contract close
  • Collaborate with commercial, operational, legal, and technical experts to deliver winning solutions
  • Influence regional sales strategy through market and customer insights

To be successful in this role, you have:

  • Proven track record in complex enterprise sales and strategic account management
  • Strong experience managing tenders, frameworks, and regulated procurement processes
  • Exceptional negotiation, stakeholder management, and commercial leadership skills
  • Ability to navigate large, multi-stakeholder opportunities and deliver measurable results
  • A collaborative, customer-focused approach with strong governance and integrity standards
  • Previous experience of Salesforce would also be an advantage

Salary Range: £51,600 – 68,000 + OTE

The advertised salary range reflects the level, scope and responsibilities of the role. Starting salary within that range will be determined based on experience, skills, market considerations and alignment with internal equity principles.
