Range Optimisation Manager 
£60,000 to £70,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 5) 
In this role you’ll work in a hybrid way splitting your time between home and coming into our Manchester office at least once a week (find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy). 
12-month fixed term contract

We’re looking for a Range Optimisation Manager to join our Customer team, where you’ll own, develop, and embed our approach to optimising our ranges to deliver brilliant customer, commercial and operational outcomes. We’ll look to you to support and lead the Range Optimisation team who use our market-leading store clustering and ranging tools to  make sure our ranges always meet the evolving needs of our customers.  If you have the experience we are looking for, we can offer you the opportunity to drive our Co-op proposition  to make sure the right range is in the right place at the right time for our customers.

What you’ll do

• Own our range guardrails and principles and our store clustering strategy ensuring these are delivered against through range reviews
• Drive the change needed to embed our range optimisation approach, principles, and guardrails
• Lead, coach and develop the Range Optimisation team, empowering them to deliver against our strategic objectives 
• Liaise closely with our customer and commercial teams to help translate category strategies into optimised range assortments
• Support and input into projects, tests and trials to find new ways of making our ranges even better 
• Use data and insights to make sure we are optimising our tools and systems to help us get the right ranges in the right stores 
• Be commercially driven to do the right things for our business, customers, and member owners 
This role would suit people who have

• The ability to champion change and invest time building strong relationships with a variety of internal and external partners 
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present, challenge, and influence 
• Experience and understanding of assortment planning, range  review process and category management
