Where and how you’d work

Our flagship office is in Antwerp. We also have an office in London (UK) and Austin (US), and colleagues working remotely in Germany and Australia. This is a Hybrid role based in Belgium or UK, and a 7-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave. You have a choice in where and how you work. That means if you want to do your thing in the office (if you're near one), at home or a bit of both, it's up to you. You will report into the Head of Delivery and work alongside a talented implementation squad, consisting of data engineers, consultants, and other project managers.

Travel to customer sites (primarily in the UK) will be required to support collaboration, alignment, and successful delivery.

Your Role

As a Project Manager at Gorilla, you’ll play a key role in delivering successful client implementations by managing all aspects of project delivery. You’ll be the bridge between internal teams and our customers, making sure requirements are crystal clear, timelines are met, and expectations are aligned. Your mission is to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope—while creating a smooth and inspiring experience for our clients.

Key Responsibilities During the Contract Period

Lead & Deliver End-to-End Projects:

  • Manage the delivery of multiple implementation projects across the UK market.

  • Translate customer requirements into clear milestones and deliverables, and work closely with engineering and consulting teams to ensure timely execution.

  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks, while maintaining control of scope, budget, and timelines.

Align Stakeholders & Drive Communication:

  • Ensure alignment and consistent communication between internal teams and customer stakeholders.

  • Facilitate all project meetings—kickoffs, check-ins, reviews—and ensure everyone stays informed and engaged.

Build Strong Relationships:

  • Cultivate trusted relationships with clients, acting as their go-to person throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Communicate progress with transparency and keep expectations realistic but inspiring.

Collaborate & Problem-Solve:

  • Coordinate cross-functional workstreams to keep projects moving and issues resolved quickly.

  • Flag blockers early and bring creative, practical solutions to the table.

Ensure Quality & Customer Satisfaction:

  • Uphold Gorilla’s delivery standards and ensure client outcomes meet or exceed expectations.

  • Be a champion of service excellence, contributing to a positive client experience and long-term relationships.

What You'll Need

  • Project Delivery Experience – You’ve successfully managed client-facing SaaS delivery projects, ideally between €200K and €1M in scope. You’re comfortable owning the full delivery lifecycle—from scoping to go-live.

  • Multidisciplinary Team Collaboration – You’ve worked with cross-functional squads including designers, developers, architects, and consultants, and know how to align and motivate diverse teams toward shared goals.

  • Leadership in Delivery – You’ve led teams during complex implementation projects, keeping momentum, clarity, and morale high—even in ambiguity. While you’re not the formal team lead, you know how to guide and align people across functions to deliver together.

  • Governance & Reporting – You’re experienced in running project or program governance with key stakeholders (e.g., steering committees), and skilled at reporting both upward and downward to keep everyone informed and aligned.

  • Commercial Awareness – You understand different project models (fixed price, time & material, …) and how they impact scope, timelines, and client communication.

  • Multi-Stakeholder Environments – You’re comfortable operating in environments with multiple vendors or stakeholder groups, ensuring clarity and alignment across different players.

  • Exceptional Communication – You tailor your communication to technical and non-technical audiences, building trust and momentum at every step.

  • Customer-Focused – You care deeply about delivering on promises and creating a smooth, value-driven experience for our clients.

  • Organised & Proactive – You’re great at scoping, prioritising, and navigating change. You anticipate risks and keep projects calm and controlled.

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
