Group Strategic Analytics (GSA) is part of Group Chief Operating Office (COO) bridging the Bank’s business and infrastructure functions to help deliver the efficiency, control, and transformation goals of the Bank.
You will join the Investment Bank (IB) Divisional Data Office (DDO) in GSA, responsible for the data strategy within the Investment Bank. You will be responsible for defining policies and guidelines that address regulatory and internal controls, delivering project streams for the wider Enterprise Data Management (EDM) Program implementing frameworks to provide, source and explain data flows.
This is an exciting and unique opportunity to collaborate with groups actively originating and consuming data. You will gain a thorough understanding of how data is an integral component to the Investment Bank and be responsible for directly shaping and delivering the strategy to optimize business processes and regulatory outcomes.

Your key responsibilities
- Provide execution accountability to business stakeholders, infrastructure partners in the Technology, Data and Information (TDI) and Cross-Product Operations for regulatory and internal control outcomes
- Define sustainable operating models for business line functions and First Line of Defence (1LoD)/Second Line of Defence (2LoD) responsibilities with respect to data governance and management, identifying process efficiencies where possible
- Direct accountability for regulatory and internal control outcomes relevant to IB data, working closely with internal stakeholders and clients
- Coordination with Chief Data Office (CDO) on different initiatives of Deutsche Bank’s data programme strategy, delivering and coordinating distinct streams of work
- Administration of IB Divisional Data Council, preparing/co-ordinating materials and coordination with IB stakeholders, including management of current state Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and data metrics, ownership of relevant Programme/Project planning and tracking progress, including resolution of any programme milestones
- Responsible for leading, partnering with, advising, and influencing multiple senior stakeholders across Deutsche Bank, to deliver project outcomes
Your skills and experience
- Deep understanding of process lifecycle flows in one or more business lines relevant to an Investment Bank
- Project management approach: taking on tasks, completing them in a structured way with an eye to either automating or improving processes, initiating and governing meetings, planning and tracking
- Managing colleagues in other areas of the bank through influence, and collaborating with teams to complete and deliver tasks for senior management sign-off
- Understanding of how technical requirements drive delivery of solutions, especially as they relate to provision of data through standard pathways across business and technology areas
- Data analysis: ability to investigate data using desktop tools, identify traits and present back analysis grids and graphs
