Program Manager

We're looking for a Program Manager to drive cross-functional initiatives across the Detection & Response engineering organisation. In this role, you'll take ownership of projects and workstreams that improve operational processes, ensure commitments are met, and deliver measurable outcomes for our customers. You'll collaborate closely with engineering, product, and customer-facing teams to connect strategy with execution and help scale our operations as we grow.
About the Team
The Detection & Response team builds and operates Rapid7's industry-leading products that help customers detect, investigate, and respond to threats. Program Managers play a critical role in ensuring seamless execution, fostering collaboration across teams, and enabling engineering to deliver customer value efficiently and reliably.
About the Role
As a Program Manager, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the successful planning, execution, and delivery of cross-functional initiatives that drive impact for both customers and internal teams. Specifically, your focus will be to:

• Lead medium-scale initiatives and contribute to larger programs spanning engineering, product management, user experience, and customer support
• Develop and execute project plans, including schedules, deliverables, dependencies, and risk tracking
• Drive alignment across teams on priorities and timelines, ensuring stakeholders are accountable and informed
• Track and communicate progress to leadership through reports, dashboards, and presentations
• Support quality and customer-first initiatives by ensuring customer-reported issues and escalations are tracked and resolved
• Facilitate operational activities such as resourcing, reporting, and cross-team coordination
• Identify process gaps and propose improvements to increase efficiency and repeatability

The skills and qualities you'll bring include:

• 2-4 years of program or project management experience in a software/technology environment
• Solid understanding of project management methodologies and Agile software development practices
• Proficiency with project tracking tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Proficiency in collecting, manipulating, analysing and presenting data
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact effectively across technical and business teams
• Ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
• Analytical mindset with a focus on identifying risks and driving toward outcomes
