Introducing Masabi

// At Masabi, we’re driving the fare payment revolution, powering the journeys of millions all over the world. We build fare collection platforms that allow riders to seamlessly buy and present tickets for public transport either on their mobile phones, from a ticket machine, or even by tapping their bank card to travel.

Our Justride platform is used in over 250 locations globally, including some of the largest cities in the world. With our industry-first mobile ticketing SDK, we’ve partnered with large players in the transport space, including Uber, Moovit and Transit.

Your own journey is important to us too. Choosing a role here means joining a network of innovators from all walks of life; a group of passionate individuals who consistently deliver. Here, you’ll find the tools you need to build the career you want. Whether you’re taking the direct route or trying a new path, we’ll support you no matter what.

The Role_
// We’re looking for a Product Manager to join our Account-Based Ticketing (ABT) team and help lead the evolution of our Fares Engine, the core capability that brings transit agency fare policies to life.

This role is at the heart of Masabi’s platform, translating complex agency needs into flexible, scalable solutions that balance simplicity, operational efficiency, and equity of access. You’ll be focused on enabling agencies to design and deliver innovative fare strategies, from capping and concessions to zoning and distance-based pricing.

You’ll work closely with engineers, product designers, and a range of internal and external stakeholders to define what we build and why, ensuring the work we do delivers meaningful outcomes for transit agencies and their riders.

Location_

// This role is available on a fully remote basis for candidates based in the UK, with the option of a hybrid model for those located in London.

What You’ll Do_

  • Partner with transit agencies and internal teams to understand fare policies and translate them into platform capabilities.

  • Own the full lifecycle of your product area, from discovery and definition through to delivery, rollout, and iteration.

  • Define and communicate product behaviours using tools like user journeys, product briefs, and functional specs.

  • Collaborate with product managers and designers to ensure changes to fare rules support a seamless experience for both agency users and riders.

  • Work closely with engineers to explore options, validate designs, and ensure successful implementation and testing.

  • Support deployment and implementation teams to ensure real-world fit for customer needs.

  • Stay connected to customer feedback, industry trends, and competitor insights to inform product decisions and long-term roadmap thinking.

  • Bring your creativity, curiosity, and energy to a mission-led, high-growth team where your work makes a real impact.

About You_

  • You care deeply about solving problems and building inclusive, user-centred products.

  • You have experience in Product Management (or a similar role) within a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.

  • You’ve taken products or features from idea through to delivery and improvement.

  • You can confidently discuss software product behaviours and technical trade-offs with engineers, even if you don’t get into the code.

  • You work collaboratively, building strong relationships across functions and disciplines.

  • You’re a clear communicator who can adapt your style for technical and non-technical audiences.

  • You thrive in environments where things aren’t always clear-cut, and you’re proactive in making progress amidst ambiguity.

Bonus Points_

  • Experience working on fare collection, mobility, or transit systems.

  • Worked on platforms with a mix of backend complexity and frontend usability.

  • Familiarity with account-based systems or configurable platform components.

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
