Carbon3 is building the UK’s sovereign AI infrastructure platform, combining renewable energy, distributed compute, and

full data ownership to power the next generation of sustainable innovation.

Our platform includes:

  • Carbon3 Orchestrator: Full-stack AI infrastructure management – from VMs and Bare Metal all the way to dedicated endpoints, with storage and data services
  • AI Studio: Agent-based low/no-code development environment – for development with open source LLMs
  • ModelHub: Model hosting, deployment, and performance monitoring – MLOps, feature stores and tooling to manage development and production inference,
  • AI Mesh: UK-wide sovereign compute backbone, interconnected with a high-speed fabric.

Role summary:

We are hiring a Product Manager to own the roadmap and delivery across our core AI platform components. You will  translate technical vision into usable, secure, and scalable products that let enterprises build, deploy, and operate AI  workloads with confidence.

You will work across infrastructure, engineering, design, go-to-market, and customer success to drive platform usability, customer value, and roadmap execution. You will engage directly with customers to validate needs and convert insights into clear product definitions and measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to end lifecycle for Orchestrator, ModelHub, and AI Studio from discovery through launch and iteration.
  • Define user-centred product requirements that balance technical feasibility, customer need, and commercial impact.
  • Run structured discovery with customers and partners; convert insights into a clear, prioritised roadmap.
  • Partner with engineering, design, and architecture to deliver high-quality features on time and to spec.
  • Establish UX and API standards for both technical personas (DevOps, ML engineers) and business users (AI leaders, data owners).
  • Build product collateral, demos, solution briefs, use-case documents, and blueprint assets to support sales and delivery.
  • Instrument products with telemetry and define adoption, engagement, and reliability metrics; report progress to leadership team.
  • Ensure platform compliance with UK and EU data residency, security, and sovereignty requirements in partnership with legal and security teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of AI workflows, model deployment, MLOps, and GPU compute.
  • Environments – you know what tools and infrastructure AI development teams need to build value in their organisations.
  • Strong understanding of both enterprise and start up developer infrastructure and tooling requirements in the AI and HPC domains.
  • Extensive product management experience in enterprise software, cloud platforms, AI/ML tooling, or  infrastructure products.
  • Proven track record shipping complex technical products, including developer-facing tools or orchestration  platforms.
  • Strength in writing clear PRDs, mapping customer workflows, prioritising roadmaps, and facilitating agile delivery.
  • Proven UX instincts and ability to simplify complex systems for enterprise users.
  • Experience in early-stage or high-growth environments.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience building or managing AI and data platform products such as Vertex AI, SageMaker, or Weights & Biases.
  • Familiarity with agent-based automation, orchestration stacks, and MLOps platforms.
  • Knowledge of modern enterprise data platforms and how they integrate with AI and ML workflows.
  • Background in developer relations, cloud-native product design, or applied AI.
  • Exposure to UK and EU cloud sovereignty, ESG mandates, or carbon-tracking systems.

Why Join Carbon3.ai:

  • Work on a next-generation AI product.
  • Operate at the forefront: Be part of a fast-moving, high-investment market shaping the future of sovereign compute.
  • Engage with senior leaders: Work directly with executives across government, enterprise and the technology ecosystem.
  • Influence market position: Help shape Carbon3’s role in high-impact industries and strategic partnerships.
  • Benefit from growth: Participate in performance-linked rewards within a mission-driven, scaling organisation.

What you need to know about the Belfast Tech Scene

If asked to name the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, you might not say Belfast. Similarly, if asked to name Europe's leading destination for foreign direct investment in new software development, Belfast might not come to mind. Yet, both are true. The city has emerged as a tech powerhouse, recently ranked among the best in the U.K. for tech careers — especially for software developers. It also leads the U.K. with the highest percentage of software development jobs advertised.
