About You as Head of Product:
You will drive the strategy and execution of fintech products across both the Lovey Platform Squad B2B and Lovey App – B2C, which empower UK businesses and Love Finance's vision with seamless, fast, and intelligent finance solutions. You’ll lead cross-functional teams, champion digital innovation, and ensure compliance, while working on multiple projects, ultimately helping Love Finance scale to the next level.
Key Responsibilities of the Head of Product:
- Product Strategy & Vision
- Craft and own the product roadmap around digital customer journeys, AI-powered tools, cloud modernisation, and fintech platforms
- Align initiatives to broader business goals — growth, innovation, risk mitigation, and transformation
- Build a product vision and strategy for your area, ensuring alignment with Love Finance goals and an exceptional customer experience, which will drive growth, digital transformation, efficiency, innovation, and risk mitigation
- Drive technical innovation and continuous improvement within the team, represent the tech team in leadership and stakeholder meetings, communicating progress, challenges, and needs
- Delivery Leadership
- Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams (developers, designers, data, etc.)
- Oversee agency partners, ensuring cohesion, quality, and timeline adherence
- Stakeholder Leadership
- Communicate product vision and progress to senior stakeholders (sales, marketing, compliance, operations)
- Partner with engineering and design to deliver intuitive, efficient, and compliant finance experiences
Performance & Compliance Management
- Define success metrics, measure impact, gather insights, and iterate
- Conduct market research to ensure competitiveness and adherence to FCA regulation
- Define, deliver, and measure the impact of the customer-focused experiences you create
Technology Background Used at Love Finance:
- Languages: Python, TypeScript / JavaScript (Node.js), Dart (Flutter), SQL / MySQL, JSON, REST, GraphQL
- Cloud and Data: Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Cloud Run, Firestore, Pub/Sub)
- DevOps and Tooling: GitHub, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes
- Monitoring: Stackdriver, Grafana, Prometheus
- Security: OAuth2, SSO, IAM, ISO27001 alignment, penetration testing
- Analytics and Integrations: ThoughtSpot, Provenir, LTi, HubSpot, Creditsafe, Experian, Wiserfunding, Hometrack, Infosys or TCS BaNCS
Requirements
Essential Requirements of the Head of Product:
- Proven fintech expertise: Extensive experience in product leadership within the financial services sector—ideally in scaling fintech firms
- Tech-savvy background: Hands-on with Flutter Web/Mobile and modern web stack
- Kanban delivery mastery: Comfortable leading without time-boxed Scrum ceremonies. Experience with Linear is a plus
- Regulatory familiarity: Experienced in building in regulated environments, ideally FCA-authorised
- Excellent leadership: Track record of managing and inspiring engineers, designers, and agencies
- Analytical mindset: Driven by metrics and customer feedback to promote data-led decisions
