As a Principal Technical Program Manager in Commercial and Investment Bank Global Data Strategies Technology team, you will lead delivery of Data products through the software delivery lifecycle that will impact experiences for multiple groups across the firm, including clients, employees, and stakeholders. Your advanced analytical reasoning and adaptability skills will enable you to break down business, technical, and operational objectives into manageable tasks, while navigating through ambiguity and driving change. You will effectively manage resources, budgets, and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that align with the firm's strategic goals. Your exceptional communication and influencing abilities will foster productive relationships with stakeholders, ensuring alignment and effective risk management. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to the development of new policies and processes, shaping the future of our Data Strategies.
We are looking for a leader with a robust background in product and program delivery, especially within an agile framework. In this Executive Director level role, you will in overseeing the end-to-end delivery of Strategic Data projects that empower our Business and Chief Data and Analytics Office. You will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders to shape the overall vision and be instrumental in driving the development and implementation of innovative solutions that deliver exceptional value to our clients, with a strong focus on delivering measurable value each quarter. Success in this role requires a proven track record in launching products involving extensive projects across complex matrix organizations. Equally important are your teamwork and leadership skills, as you will provide clear guidance and feedback to the team while fostering a collaborative culture.
Job responsibilities
- Oversee complex technology delivery and program execution, managing resources, budgets, and timelines while mitigating risks and addressing roadblocks
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, clients, and cross-functional teams, providing direction and defining decision-making procedures for beneficial outcomes
- Lead quarterly planning, be responsible for team agility, and foster a culture of continuous delivery and innovation within the Scrum teams.
- Champion continuous improvement by identifying process optimization opportunities, incorporating best practices, and staying abreast of emerging technologies
- Partner with senior stakeholders to shape the overall product vision and agree on the OKRs for the products within your portfolio.
- Unite teams to create bold, multi-year roadmaps that provide clear direction and ensure alignment across multi-disciplinary teams for successful delivery.
- Manage complex project delivery and cross-team dependencies to drive success for our most valuable initiatives.
- Establish and managing a transparent governance structure that encourages open communication across the organization.
- Understand the regulatory environment and ensuring a robust controls framework is in place.
- Collaborate across the organization to continuously improve our processes, maximizing value creation and enhancing speed to market, while promoting product and agile methodologies.
- Demonstrate business results and organizational change through metrics.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Expert experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management and Agile Product Delivery , leading complex technology projects and programs in large organizations
- Advanced analytical reasoning skills, applying critical thinking and problem-solving techniques to break down business, technical, and operational objectives
- Proven ability in leading through change, managing dependencies, and controlling change in high-pressure, shifting environments
- Advanced expertise in stakeholder management, establishing productive relationships, and driving beneficial outcomes aligned with firm objectives
- Extensive experience in delivery, with hands-on experience managing all stages of the delivery lifecycle in an agile environment.
- Detail-oriented and resourceful, highly organised with expert prioritization skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, comfortable engaging with a diverse audience across various levels of seniority, and capable of building effective relationships with key business partners.
- Demonstrated strong risk awareness and critical thinking abilities.
- A servant leader who maintains a positive attitude and high performance in demanding, time-sensitive initiatives.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Familiarity with the Data Strategies and experience with AI/ML Data Products in large organizations would be advantageous.
