Kent is looking for a Principal Project Engineer to join our Woking office for a duration of 6 months initially.

Scope of Work:

The Principal Project Engineer accountable to the Project Engineering Manager & Project Manager to deliver this project from Pre-FEED through to Detail design stages (as appropriate to the Client scope).

Must have brownfield and greenfield experiences. With Pre-FEED, FEED and detailed engineering experience. 

Engineering from Pre-FEED through FEED and potential into detailed engineering for which we have Engineering between multiple Kent offices including Woking and India offices.  

Able to coordinate multi-discipline team of upto 50 persons with strong engineering coordination skills

Able to coordinate changes using change management and ensure project reporting is strictly maintained.

Able to monitor and control project budgets and report to Management any concerns on meeting project performance indicators.  

Has past experience and familiar with AGILE process and running Sprints. 

Responsible for producing the following deliverables:

  • Engineering coordination activities.
  • Capable of performing duties with no direct supervision and within agreed schedules and budgets.
  • Has appreciation of multi-discipline engineering design activities. Coordinates all technical disciplines to achieve design consistency and ensure delivery of all project documentation.
  • Corporate reporting line is to Departmental Manager.
  • Ensures compatibility and conformance with client specifications.
  • Participates in multi-discipline Engineering Design.
  • Coordinates engineering between multiple Kent offices.

Key Requirements:

  • Masters Degree in Engineering or equivalent.  
  • Chartered Status preferred. Related experience working for Engineering/Client organisations in the Oil and Gas Industry and/or Low Carbon Energy Transition industry. 
  • Experience of FEED/Detailed Design and EPC projects.  
  • Knowledge of other engineering disciplines.  
  • Knowledge of international equipment specifications and codes.  
  • Knowledge of standard international specifications and codes.  
  • Knowledge of Safety and Quality Procedures.  
  • Global work share experience.
