We currently have a very exciting role for an experienced cloud technology professional to join the Capita Public Service division as a Pre-Sales Solution Architect. Working alongside sales team from across Capita you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that we are delivering cutting edge cloud-based solutions, liaising with the clients to understand their needs and transforming this into a cohesive solution that meets and where possible exceeds their needs.
You will have the opportunity to work across multiple contracts at Capita, driving our growth in this area and working as a respected SME in this area. We are looking for someone that has previous cloud based pre sales experience, someone who is able to communicate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders in a way that is clear and concise.
This is a key growth area for Capita so the successful candidate in this role will be working on high profile projects and have the support of a wider technical team. This is a fully home based role, there may be some occasional travel if the client requests this however this is very much on an ad hoc basis and would be expensed by Capita.

Job Description:

What you’ll be doing:

  • Take responsibility for the performance and quality of output to support growth; ensuring timescales are met, pricing and technical designs are completed in line with business strategy and targets

  • Working directly on customer opportunities, attending customer meetings and developing responses to their needs

  • Perform due diligence and discovery activities, including cloud migration and optimisation assessments

  • Work with internal delivery teams and external suppliers to design and cost cloud managed services

  • Provide subject matter expertise into customer proposals including the design and costing of solutions

  • Innovation – drive innovation in our approach to customer needs

  • Knowledgebase - work closely with Sales & Marketing and Presales Improvement lead to generate a comprehensive knowledgebase/library to support the end-to-end presales and sales lifecycle

  • Provide presales support to the broader growth team, to help stimulate demand for services and inform/influence sales opportunities

  • Support the product team, by aligning proposals against product lines wherever possible. Provide feedback on gaps or development opportunities, act as the voice of the customer as we continue to develop and evolve

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in architecting cloud solutions in Microsoft Azure.

  • SME knowledge of Microsoft Azure technologies both IaaS and PaaS along with a view of the broader market.

  • An understanding of cloud practices including DevOps, FinOps, SecOps

  • Microsoft certification to architect/expert level with broader vendor certification advantageous in DevOps, AWS, Citrix, TOGAF and ITIL.

  • Demonstrable skills in understanding the needs of organisations and designing and delivering compelling solutions to address them

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the bigger picture of how our team fits into the organisation and articulate how the function should align and integrate to positively contribute

  • Able to work autonomously aligned with broad direction
