Join our Global Payroll team to build and manage a world class Payroll operation. This individual will report to the Senior Payroll Manager, and will primarily be responsible for all day-to-day payroll activities for international payroll by region. This is a hybrid role location in Dublin, Ireland.
About this roll* (Responsibilities)
- Manage the day-to-day operations of international payroll processing for the EMEA region, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all applicable tax and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the relationship with in-country payroll vendors, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs), monitoring performance, and driving process improvements.
- Review and validate payroll inputs and outputs from in-country payroll vendors, providing guidance and final approval for payroll processing.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for complex employee payroll inquiries, resolving issues efficiently and providing exceptional customer service.
- Support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, develop and implement solutions to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of payroll processes, procedures, and controls.
- Utilize strong knowledge of payroll and HRIS systems, particularly Workday, to streamline payroll operations and improve data management.
- Analyze payroll data to identify trends, resolve discrepancies, and support reporting requirements.
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of sensitive payroll data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, and Legal, to ensure alignment and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with the implementation and testing of payroll system upgrades and enhancements.
Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)
- 5+ years of proven experience in payroll administration, with a focus on international payroll processing in the EMEA region.
- Strong experience managing relationships with outsourced payroll providers.
- Expert proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulas and data analysis capabilities.
- Proficiency in CloudPay payroll platform is highly preferred.
- Solid understanding of financial principles and experience with general ledger (GL) processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with SOX audits and compliance activities.
- Demonstrated ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Workday HRIS system is highly desirable
- Knowledge of Ireland and UK payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
