Your Role: Partnerships Manager – Podcasts

This role is responsible for delivering high value and long-term host read, sponsorship and creative partnership solutions across Global’s Podcast portfolio. We are setting and leading the partnership agenda for each of our brands/channels. The role sits within a specialist team with established client, agency and internal stakeholder relationships.

In this role you will be responsible for driving revenue and raising awareness of our Podcast portfolio within your assigned agencies to ensure podcasts are a key consideration from Global’s commercial portfolio. Also key is helping develop and deliver high quality pitches and inspiration sessions, as well as supporting the wider Agency hubs in delivering sales collateral.

As a Podcast Partnerships Manager – you will:

  • Brief Responses & Driving Revenue (60%) Apply your knowledge of Global’s Podcast offering to provide relevant solutions for briefs and development of proactive ideas. Working with the wider sales team to drive and deliver on the overall Podcast strategy & revenues targets. Have a clear understanding of your revenue, annual target and manage podcast revenue. Reporting and forecasting for sales meeting and comms meeting.

  • Internal Collaboration (10%) Work with Partnership Managers, Agency Managers and Global Strategists to ensure that you are involved in all relevant client and agency briefings/pitches/inspiration sessions for podcasts. 

  • Expertise & Ownership (10%) Deliver effective internal communication to ensure you are best placed to provide expert knowledge on podcasts at all times as well as being a main point of contact for all commercial podcast conversations, (Sales, Supply, Editorial, Content Solutions/Branded Content)

  • Create Collateral (10%) Help develop and communicate insights and opportunities – media metrics, presentations, audience research and case studies, market developments, podcast marketing and programming/editorial updates.

  • Efficient Communication (10%) Ensuring effective and timely internal and external communication to support the commercial goals of our podcast products.

What Success Looks Like
In your first few months, you’ll have:

  • Built external relationships with clients & key planning teams within agencies 

  • Delivered compelling commercial podcast proposals 

  • Contributed to the delivery of annual podcast revenue targets

  • Established strong internal relationships to ensure you are well placed to include Podcast opportunities on all relevant brief responses

What you will need:

  • A strong and successful track record in Podcast Media Sales

  • An excellent knowledge of the Podcasting marketplace as well as understanding the overall media landscape 

  • Effective time management & the ability to constantly multi-task by having a very organised approach to work and projects

  • Excellent interpersonal skills: effectively communicating, building rapport and relating to others at all levels.

  • A great team player attitude with the ability to motivate colleagues and work with different personalities
